Letter To BAM

To Whom It May Concern:
Our local store of Books-A-Million, which is in the mall with a high percentage of children and families as clients, is hosting a Playboy signing tomorrow night. Many of us in the community have expressed concern about the celebration of the objectification of women in a family venue. We have been told that this decision was pushed by the corporate office even though the local and district managers are not in support of it.

Our community is highly offended by the fact that your corporate office would make this decision regardless of the local feeling. Please reconsider and stop this signing from occurring tomorrow night at 7pm in our local mall. Perhaps an adult bookstore or bar would be a more appropriate venue for the magazine signing.

I look forward to and appreciate a prompt response.

Sincerely,
Jennifer Shewmaker
