What’s this all about?

Operation Transformation

This site is dedicated to exploring sexualized and stereotyped media messages. My goal is to help both parents and children learn to deal with these messages by recognizing, planning, talking, acting and cooperating. I believe that we have the power to choose our response to the media, rather than just mindlessly adopting their values. We have the power to transform the world around us. Join me in this journey of transformation, become all that you were meant to be!

PLEASE NOTE: My sharing of a resource does not mean that I agree with or endorse every opinion expressed by that source. It simply means that they have some resources that you may find helpful. I recommend that you use your own judgement and value system to determine which resources may be helpful to you individually, your family, or your group. Also, feel free to contact me privately if you have questions about specific resources and how they might work for your family, group, etc. If you are a teen or tween and are wondering about opinions expressed through one of the resources, please talk with your parents and trusted adults in your life about it. Online resources are not meant to replace the conversations that need to be had with people with whom you have authentic relationships.  Most of the resources that I share do not have a lot of controversial issues connected with them, but some may.
