My friend, Amy, recently posted the link to this article on her Facebook page. It’s a story about a group of high school girls that formed a club to promote true beauty. They were tired of being told that to be beautiful meant to match a narrowly defined set of standards. Instead, they decided that they wanted to encourage each other to redefine for themselves what they thought beauty was.
What’s exciting about this is that it’s a movement by girls for girls. They are choosing to act in such a way as to express their values to the world and reject those that they don’t accept. These girls are being world changers, they are transforming the world around them. This is what I hope we can encourage more and more kids to do. Stand up and let your views be heard! You are a world changer, so get out there and make a change.
