Raise Your Voice

When you look at some of the studies that are out there about the media messages that children are exposed to and the way that they are targeted by marketers, it’s easy to get discouraged. Sometimes it feels like you’re alone, fighting against a group of people who have all the money and know all the tricks to influence you and those you love.

I want to encourage you to see yourself as someone who can make a difference. You can be a world changer! The first thing you have to do is pay attention to the things that are going on around you. When you see or hear something that you don’t like, raise your voice and let your point of view be heard. When you hear or see something you do like, do the same.

When we are ready to let our voices be heard, whether through signing a petition, talking to a someone who has some power, making a call or writing a letter, we can make a difference. Operation Transformation is all about coming together as a group and standing up for what we believe in. Don’t let yourself become discouraged. You are not alone! When we all raise our voices together, we can change the world!
