Enough with the Pink and Blue Boxes!

I love this article, “Girls are Messy Naked Farters Too” because it resonates with my experience raising three girls.

In my 20 years of working with and now parenting my own children, I’ve realized that behavior is more about individual temperament than it is about gender. Some boys are loud and messy while others are quiet and thoughtful. Some girls are nurturing and caring while others are competitive and active.

There’s no need to put kids in the pink and blue boxes of social gender expectations. Instead, let’s let our kids be themselves and support them in being the best them that they can be.
