In Gender and Media Talk today, I’m talking with Dr. Ken Cukrowski. Dr. Cukrowski is the Dean of the College of Biblical Studies at Abilene Christian University, an Associate Professor of New Testament.
His research interests are focused on historical and theological dimensions of scholarship, literature, language, and background of the New Testament. He teaches Greek, New Testament, New Testament backgrounds, and New Testament ethics. You can read a recent post that he wrote at the CHARIS website.
I recently heard Dr. Cukrowski discuss a paper that he presented at the Christian Scholars Conference on the Theology of Gender. I was fascinated by the things that he said about the ways that both Jesus and Paul talk about gender, and thought that many readers would enjoy hearing about this. In particular, it seems to me that many girls and women have been alienated from connecting with many religions due to their historical subjugation and oppression. Dr. Cukrowski has many interesting things to say about this issue, and I’d love to share this and hear your thoughts on it as well.
